Yoga definitely is for everybody, including those who face health care challenges!
I have taught hundreds of classes to a wide range of students of all ages and abilities: from cub scouts and kids in mentoring programs, to pre-diabetics, to residents in assisted living, and many more in between!
I strive to be kind, patient, and gentle in word and action, as my teachers have been to me.

I was first introduced to yoga in the mid-1990's, through classes offered by Lydia Scott from The Yoga Place in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Lydia's yoga instruction was based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar.
At the time, I was working as a Registered Dietician at a hospital in Northeast Iowa, and was interested in teaching yoga to cardiac patients. This led to me participating in Yoga of the Heart Cardiac Teacher Training with Nischala Joy Devi, at the Ananda Retreat Center in Nevada City, California. I have also attended workshops led by yoga therapist, Matthew Taylor, PT, PhD.
In 2000-01, I completed my 200 hour RYT program through, Sun Moon Yoga Studio in Mankato, Minnesota.
