Note: Wear clothes you feel comfortable practicing yoga in.
Elisabeth Pletcher began practicing yoga in her early 40s and quickly realized the need to modify poses to work with her curvy, inflexible body.
Knowing she was not alone with this issue she traveled to Nashville, TN for the Curvy Yoga Teacher Training program led by Anna Guest-Jelley. Through years of teaching she has learned to help students personalize a yoga practice that is specific to their unique body regardless of age, ability, body type or injury.
Together she guides students to connect their breath to their movement, working to gain not only strength and flexibility but to find a body positive, safe and supportive space on the mat and in the yoga studio.
While Elisabeth teaches students of all ages, abilities and sizes in a variety of styles, her true love is working with students who are new or returning to yoga. She is also certified in Yoga for Cancer Care.
